MEET THE COYOTES - Bill Dooley and Rik & Wendi Bourne

Rik & Wendi Bourne have been married since 1978, and have been playing music together since they met. Bill Dooley was there (at a music party) when they were on their first date. The trio have been playing together on and off ever since. So in addition to being long-time musical buddies, these three are also treasured friends.

Bill Dooley - Banjo, Guitar, Vocal, Harmonica

BILL DOOLEY has been a perennial favorite in the Philadelphia folk music scene since the 1970s. In addition to his skills on guitar, banjo, and harmonica, he is a warm, engaging singer with “A talent for reaching into his vast repertoire of traditional and vintage songs to pull out an unknown gem.” (City Paper). Bill is highly regarded for his arrangements of jazz and popular standards for solo guitar as well as Hawaiian “slack-key” guitar. Rik Bourne - Fiddle, Button Accordion, Harmonica, Guitar

RIK BOURNE is the fiddler for The Coyotes. He also plays harmonica, guitar, and button accordion. He has been the musician for the Kingsessing Morris Dancers since 1978. He has been playing music with Wendi and Bill since 1977. When not playing with the Coyotes or the Morris Dancers, Rik can be found playing square dances wit various pickup bands, as well as accompanying the Fiddle Kicks Cloggers.

Wendi Bourne - Vocals, Guitar

Wendi Bourne is a singer and guitarist. Her work is known to the Swing Dance world through her work with  Girls from Mars. "Folkies" and western swing fans know her from her work with The Coyotes and Beat's Walkin'. Students who have attended Swing Week at Augusta know her as the Coordinator of this wonderful week long "Swing Camp" for adults, held in Elkins, WV each summer.
